A Conversation for FANTASY FOOTBALL - Season Eight - "The Untitled One"
WEEK FIFTEEN
GreyDesk Posted Nov 22, 2003
As Egon is absent due to a recent family tragedy, I think it only right and proper that I give him a Pools Panel selection for this week.
Egon:
Birmingham 0-1 Arsenal
Everton 1-0 Wolves
Leeds 1-1 Bolton
Newcastle 1-2 Man City
Ipswich 1-0 Sheffield United
with no scorer points
And if I'm giving Egon a free set of picks, I ought to allow the other absentees a selection as well - it seems only fair somehow
Kiltedjedi:
Birmingham 1-0 Arsenal
Everton 2-1 Wolves
Leeds 2-2 Bolton
Newcastle 2-0 Man City
Ipswich 0-0 Sheffield United
with no scorer points
loosehead:
Birmingham 2-0 Arsenal
Everton 2-0 Wolves
Leeds 1-0 Bolton
Newcastle 1-1 Man City
Ipswich 0-2 Sheffield United
with no scorer points
OB1 Knordic
Birmingham 1-0 Arsenal
Everton 2-3 Wolves
Leeds 1-1 Bolton
Newcastle 3-0 Man City
Ipswich 1-0 Sheffield United

Oh dear. Without even calculating the scores too precisely, I've got a feeling I'm in right trouble.

GreyDesk Posted Nov 22, 2003
I'm not entirely a happy camper this weekend, after watching the most appallingly refereed game of football I've ever seen in my life But hey, never mind, we move on...
Looking at the scores for this weekend on the face of it, it looks quite quiet. However if you look a little closer there have been a large number of switches in position in the league table. Including a change at the top

Everton 2-0 Wolves (RADZINSKI, Kilbane)
Leeds 0-2 Bolton (DAVIES, Giannakopoulos)
Newcastle 3-0 Man City (AMEOBI, Shearer)
The Referee 3-0 Sheffield United (KUQI, Westlake, Bent)

It's certainly shaping up to be an exciting finish. A three-horse race, with a certain grey nag coming up fast on the rails...
