I count only 13 entries so far this week. That's a bit low as you've only got 1½ hours until the thread closes

0-0 for all results. i missed out on two 0-0s last week, and i have a feeling that if i don't nil nil eveyrthing that i'm gonna miss them again, as i think a lot of matches are no ccore draws at the moment.

you know of course that I don't really approve of all nil-nil selections. However in the light of last week's debacle I think we can let have it this time around
Best of luck

Yeovil Town 2-1 Wrexham (Jackson)
Lincoln City 1-3 Brighton (Knight)
Torquay United 2-0 Burton Albion (Graham)
Bury 0-0 Rochdale (Townson)
Scarborough 0-2 Doncaster Rovers (McIndoe)
Oh, and... Bradford Park Avenue 1 Bristol City 3, for the record. Carl Serrant to score for Avenue from a free-kick. My voice was on telly for a full three seconds on Look North last night!

well, i have this feeling that 3 out of 5 will be draws, and at least 2 of those will be nil-nil. nil-nil i think is the biggest gamble around, as you cn either score big with a full house, or there's a goal in every game so the most points possible to get that week is 10.

GreyDesk Posted Nov 8, 2003
Based upon the Pools Panel stats gathered through last season in the Premiership, there were 21 nil-nil results and a further 70 drawn matches out of a total of 380 games played.
Therefore on average you're going to hit a full house once every 18 games, and pick up 2 points for a correct result once every 5½ games. Your long run average points per week, based on five games is a measley 3.2 per week.
This assumes that the games selected each week are 1) random 2) all Premiership 3) that Premiership is playing like it did last season. Of course none of these assumptions actually apply in real life.
That said I believe the underlying truth is that multiple nil-nil selections will bring you the occasional burst of joy with a full house, but these will be intersperced with weeks of dire misery for you.
Oh and by the way we're 20 minutes into the games, and already 2 of your nil-nils have gone tits up

i think for next season, we shouldhave a nil-nil man, who predits nil-nil each week, and see what he would get and where he would finish at the end of the season.

* checks stats *
After 12 weeks there have been 8 nil-nils and 5 score draws.
That would get you 50 points and eighteenth place in the table.

... and with Williams netting a second, you're looking good for 2 more. All you then need is a small Wrexham rally in the dying moments for all five

Ah! Well that's torn it for you, Colin Pluck has just scored Yeovil's third.

I'm shocked I'm shocked that's what I am!
What on happened this week
Going into the final match of the round, 10 out of the 15 players this week had the grand total of NO POINTS WHAT-SO-EVER. I don't think I've ever seen a scenario quite like it before.
It was only the skills of Kevin Gall and Chris Armstrong that saved this week from being a total disaster. Though even with their preformances no one got to go away with much to be proud of
------------------
The Results:
Yeovil Town 4-1 Wrexham (GALL, Williams, Pluck, Edwards, Armstrong)
Lincoln City 3-1 Brighton (MAYO, Bloomer, Yeo, McPhee)
Torquay United 1-2 Burton Albion (WOODS, Benefield, Talbot)
Bury 1-2 Rochdale (BERTOS, Townson, Porter)
Scarborough 1-0 Doncaster Rovers (ROSE)
------------------
The 'Points':
creachy - 1 points (Yeovil scorer)
Egon - 4 points (Bury result; Scarborough result)
GreyDesk - 4 points (Yeovil result, scorer & 1st scorer)
loosehead - 4 points (Yeovil result, scorer & 1st scorer)
Lord Smooth - 1 points (Bury scorer)
me[Andy]g - all
Number Six - 3 points (Yeovil result; Bury scorer)
Uncle Heavy - all
Ormondroyd - 4 points (Yeovil result, scorer & 1st scorer)

summerbayexile - 5 points (Torquay result & score; Scarborough result)
The Snockerty Friddle - all
OB1 Knordic - all

How many weeks have we got left, GD? Ormondroyd may have had a mare by his standards, but he still gained another point on me... the question is, how long can I hold out at this rate?
