This is the page 3 of the elements series, currently studying lithium, any criticism would be greatful (though trolling will be ignored)

Hello Lemon Tea Strainer, welcome to h2g2, this selction of enteries on elelments is an interesting ideal. Are you looking to enter them for Peer Review, and the Edited Guide? if you are the small problem is that if you enter them separately, I don't think they're quite detailed enough, yet writing a very detailed desciption of all the elements is a going to be far too much work for you!

What about combining them into entres about several elements, that are linked in some way, for example group 1 elements, or Nobel gases?

Oh and Lithium is also a drug used to treat Bipolar Affective Disorder.

yet another entry with not enough content where it is neededand more than enough where it isn't.

the clinton comment is unnecessary, potentially liabelous, and just doesn't help.

Uses of lithium are many, and unmentioned. From lithium chloride which is used as a salt replacement for people who need a low sodium diet, to lithium deuteride which will be very important for fusion power.

you also don't mention clearly that lithium is one of the sodium group of metals (although you do mention it indirectly in passing).

"to lithium deuteride which will be very important for fusion power"

May i point out i am only inputting CURERENT uses not fantasy ones.

Also for the most common use/s of the elemnt, anyway, i was half alseep at the time, there will definitley be some editibng when ive had enough sleep.

also to post 1: thank you or your gracious (and much more polite than post 2) reply. Yes, i think i shall get it all ordered into the geoups, that way instead of having in an excess of 100 pages with very little content there will now be a full 8, possibly 9 if i give the latest discoveries a seperate page.

Thank-you for pointing what i had failed to point out so pointedly. Now getting to the point, the whole point of this post is to congratulate you on your pointedness of your post which pointed me in the dierection of pointing out that I am currently writing this pointful post, which hopefully will not turn out as pointless as it sounds at this point. smiley - smiley

"you also don't mention clearly that lithium is one of the sodium group of metals (although you do mention it indirectly in passing)."

QUOTE FROM ARTICLE: "Lithium belongs to the special group of elements called the alkali metals"

I call that pretty direct don't you? And it's not the "sodium group of metals", the correct term is alkali metals, in fact, the term "sodium group of metals" doesn't even exist as a non-technical term!

oops, I didn't spot the words "called the alkali metals". smiley - sorry

and the reason I said what I said about "yet another entry with not enough..." was because it was the third entry in three days, the comments implied that they would keep comming every day, and the tone on the article implied that the author thought it was nearly finished.

for those parts which are wrong, smiley - sorry but it was starting to look a bit much.
