Somehow this report seems somewhat lacking an various key areas : in writing this fan mail about the late Francis Albert, you somehow neglected to mention wife beating, alchohol abuse, mob connections and poor wigs. At the same, I agree with you, the man was a genius. His wig maker less so.
Along with his great talents ( and in conjunction with Elvis for the first time ever ), he was also a massive porn freak and a terrible bully.
And even if one should never speak ill of the dead, it is good to know that I can still give Joey Bishop a hard time.
Lets hope, that if the clan are up in heaven, Dean will be in the bar and Franky will be buying the drinks. You're just not funny Frank.

His best period for me, and a lot of other people, was the 50's when he made all those great albums for Capitol of which few, if any, have been out of the catalogues since. When I was an undergrad, no party was complete without some bloke who reckoned he could make a great punch (and which made half the girls sick) and 'Songs for Swinging Lovers' in the background.
One of my favourites is a little-known song-cycle called 'Watertown' which he made after he moved to Reprise. It's a delight, but who's ever heard of it apart from me and my old mate B*b N*w** who introduced it to me?
