PP - Update 28/3
Mu Beta Started conversation Mar 28, 2004
A few transfers this week: Number Six has inexplicably swapped out Alan Smith for Kevin Davies, Andy G has switched goalkeepers (again!), and GreyDesk made the unusually perceptive move of snapping up Matt Heath before Leicester kept a clean sheet at the weekend. Desky also bought Tony Hibbert, meaning there are now seven Everton defenders in the league (eight if you include Nigel Martyn). Now, OK, two of them are regularly playing midfield, but are you guys really telling me that Joseph Yobo and Alessandro Pistone are the best we can do?
Anyway, I now declare the transfer market shut. Except, that is, for goalies and defenders who have missed 10 consecutive club games, who I will still ask the manager concerned nicely to dispose of.
This weeks results see Andy G score an excellent week with 26 points, which gives him a very real chance of overtaking Psycorp, who has of course been palying the game for a couple of months longer. Well done Andy. The other big news is that I may regret forcing Odo to eneter this league as she is now joint top. This despite the fact that she thought Rio Ferdinand was a striker and Ole Gunnar Solksjaer "must be African, with a name like that". Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

"Ole Gunnar Solksjaer "must be African, with a name like that". "
"LAdies and Gentlemen, on the right wing for Manchester united, Number 20, Ole Gunnar Adebayo".

Don't laugh too much, she's beating you.
A small correction to the first post - it's Alfredo that has changed goalkeepers, not Andy G. This is what happens when you get email from two different people who both happen to be called Andrew G.

you think that's bad, I've got two close friends in my mobile phone phone book called Andrew G...

How come Matt Heath has cost me several hundered percent more than I bid for him?
PP - Update 28/3
GreyDesk Posted Mar 28, 2004
Actually looking again, the cash position looks about right when I factor in what I offered for him. Therefore perhaps if I hadn't flagged up the price discrepancy I might have made substantially more wedge when I came to sell him. Damn
I think I'll check it in a bit more detail later. I know I've got all the e-mails somewhere or other ...

Nope. My fault - I forgot to hit the Refresh button when updating the page in Opera.
All better now.

Oh, sod it. That's the Opera thing again.
It also means that it's wiped out this week's results, which I'll have to re-enter now.
Blame GreyDesk. Not only did he complain, he persuaded me to buy this bloody borwser in the first place.

'Tis done again now.
And Opera is still better than IE
And don't take the piss out of my typing, Egon. That would be a really severe case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Sorry to whinge, but could I have 2 points for Zinade Kilbane's assist for Radzinski's goal against Middlesborough?

**sucks through teeth**
Hmm...BBC sport didn't classify it as an assist, you know. And the goal was Radz's own making, really. (player still availble, if anyone's looking for a striker)
And you were the damn fool who bought Kevin in the first place, during the strangely misguided rush for Evertone players.
On the other hand, it will worry Egon quite a lot without affecting the overall standings, so alright.

Just to irritate the wallies who paid good money for the likes of James Milner, Luis Boa Morte and Adrian Mutu, really.

The BBC is wrong. Killa sends Radz through. He's still got a lot to do but his pass was vital. But if it's their verdict that counts, so be it
Actually, he's done okay for me. Better than Riise would have done. Getting rid of Radz might have been a mistake, but at the time was just warming the bench...

Well, I told you it was a mistake selling him on. You didn't listen, did you?
