Teams and Transfers

OK - due to the fact that the second round of bidding may be a bit harder than some people were expecting, and the fact that I'm not expecting any more participants, I'm declaring the first round of bidding closed a day early.
The teams, with the players that have been won in the auction are now on the main page, along with the instructions for further transfers. I have also reduced the player lists accordingly. Any mistakes, please let me know - it's been a big update.
IMPORTANT: The following bids were tied. I therefore require re-bids from _only_ the people involved (if you still want the player, that is )
Brad Friedel (GK): Tied between Snockerty Friddle and Uncle Heavy
John O'Shea (D): Tied between Otto Fisch and Uncle Heavy
So - the second round of bidding is now open. We proceed exactly the same as the first; the deadline is Wednesday 13th August, after which you'll have a mad scramble to fill missing places. Anyone who doesn't attempt to improve their squad in the second round (apart from GreyDesk, the only man with a full team) will, I'm afraid, have their team disbanded, and their players returned to the lists.
There's still a lot of good players in the pot (just flicking through: Paul Robinson, Richard Wright, John Curtis, Glen Johnson, Jamie Carragher, Ugo Ehiogu, Dean Richards, Paul Konchesky, Jody Morris, Danny Murphy, Darius Vassell, Andy Cole, Jason Euell, Alan Smith, Craig Bellamy - and that's just the Brits), so off you go and bid again. Good luck.

My team's looking a bit overpriced too. Hopefully my new bids will redress the balance.

Hello grey desk, B is a little tied up atm but has asked my to convey his thoughts on a re-fund as something along the lines of ...."get stuffed".

Ahem - to redress that hasty statement:
As he has so far failed to score any points, the league feels it would be justified in offering you 0.2m for Paul Devlin. Deal?

UH: Same as before, by email with your second round of bids. You don't have to exceed your first bid for the player, or you can drop him altogether and bid for someone else, in which case your opposition gets him at the tied price.

Oh, and Alfredo: Having just looked at your second bids, I don't think you'll have any trouble securing your striker, but you will become the laughing stock of the league as a result.

Even more embarrasing than my proposed midfield?

Sounds amusing, who is it? Heskey?
And btw, you know you said about Smith being a good potential points winner?
Last Season
League Goals - 2
Red Cards - 1
Doesn't look too cast iron does it?

Mu Beta Posted Aug 6, 2003
No, but there'll be a lot fewer strikers at the club this season - especially if Viduka goes as well.
As for Heskey, well officially I'm not allowed to divulge that information.
Unofficially, yes.

Hmm, after Viduka goes I'll have to buy a new striker. Have to see who's not gone.

I hope not, his goals kept us up last season. But I wouldn't blame him if he left...

I notice that there are a number of people here who haven't visted the 'other' Fantasy Football competition page yet - A1130662
Care to check it out?
