I don't like Fridays much. Probably because I don't get the weekends off.
Anyway...
As it stands, this article isn't ready for the guide, but I like the subject The legend of the HMS Friday isn't one I'd heard before and it's an interesting one. To make the edited guide however, the article would need to be brushed up a little.
No gratuitious swearing. I know it's asterixed, but it's also pretty pointless. Edited articles need informative titles - The Legend of the HMS Friday etc.
The article also needs a bit more flesh. Maybe more information about the superstition, then followed by a tidier account of the HMS Friday. Admittedly there isn't that much to be found about the tale, but try....
*BBCnews claims that few sailors will set sail on a ship's maiden voyage on a friday even today.
*There doesn't seem to be any official record of her or her captain. You'd need to make it clear that this story may well be a myth - myths are fine in the guide as long as they're labelled as such.
*The Guardian claims that the incident prompted Lloyds of London to stop insuring ships launched on a Friday. I can't verify this elsewhere, mind. It's only there as a quiz answer.

I'd have to agree this isn't up to guide standards yet, maybe put it in the writing workshop and bring it back after a bit.

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Jul 21, 2003
I must admit that I'd never heard of this story, but a little Googling has thrown up plenty of references to HMS Friday.
As others have pointed out, this really needs a lot more work done on it before it can be considered ready for editing, but there is a germ of an entry... or maybe several entries here.
You could tell the tale of HMS Friday in much more detail, with some history as to why Friday became such a day of suspicion in the Navy.
Friday is supposedly a day of bad luck in many cultures - you could research an entry about that.
I seem to recall that another Researcher recently submitted an entry either to PR or the Writing Workshop about 'Unlucky 13' - you could look that one up and perhaps write a collaborative entry together.
If you haven't already done so, please read Writing-Guidelines and Writing-Beginners for some direction on what is required of a potential edited entry.

Any danger of you incorporating these suggestions into your entry NuclearConfusion? If not, then could you remove the entry from Peer Review please?

Yes, all (well, many) of these ideas are being taken in. But the process is a slow one, so, umm, how does one remove an entry? Snooped around but couldn't seem to get it out. Help.

Click on this link PeerReview and locate your entry (you might need to click on the link on that page which says 'See more entries'). Next to it you'll see either a 'x' or the word 'Remove'. Clicking on that will remove the entry.
If you plan to work on the entry so that it meets the writing guidelines, you don't *have* to remove it unless you're going to put the entry on the back burner for several months, but if you want to keep it as is, then yes, it should be removed.
