A Conversation for Talking Point: One Minute Rants

Insufferable woman

Post 1

Hypatia

I have to deal with the most unpleasant person on the face of the earth. She is two-faced, obsessed with controlling everything, and takes unimportant issues and blows them up into major incidents. No one that I've ever spoken to actually likes her, yet she continues to get away with outrageous behavior because no one wants to get on the wrong side of her. She is extremely vindictive and has told so many lies and half-truths about other people to make herself look good that I am constantly amazed that no one has shot her yet. On top of everything else she is incompetent and refuses to take responsibility for any of her mistakes - foisting the blame off onto anyone unfortunate enough to be around. She trashes people behind their backs then sucks up to them in person. I am so sick of this ridiculous woman!

Aaaaaaarrrrrrraaaaaaaauuuuuuuugggggggggghhhhhhhhh!

Well, mothers can be like that sometimes. You just have to live with it. :D

ah i know someone like this - does she have red hair? not that i have anything about red heads, and in fact i suspect that this woman's redness comes from a bottlesmiley - winkeye

i've been having a disagreement with her for some time over the issue of sexual harrassment - she seems to think that young people (of which i am one and she is not) make friends by having sex these days (some might but you don't force people to be friends with you do you!) and that i don't understand relationships (despite the fact that i am settled for good (fingers crossed!) and she is many times divorced) but i will when i'm her age (approx twice my age and i'm in my mid twenties). seems like an awfully long time to wait!

perhaps we should get these two women together, with any luck they will irritate each other so much they'll implode!!smiley - star

Her hair color varies with the seasons. At times she is a redhead. I have no idea what her natural hair color is. She certainly makes me see red at times. smiley - cross Maybe she will be abducted by a flying saucer. Nah....they'd bring her back.

I used to feel sorry for her husband, but I've decided that he has to be as crazy as she is or he couldn't stand it. I know one of her sons is a first class jerk and her daughter is a perpetual victim. The other son moved a thousand miles away.

The son that moved a thousand miles away was probably the normal one - the white sheep smiley - sheep of the family.

About the husband - sometimes they are the cause rather than the victim - I used to semi-regularly encounter this incredibly rude and arrogant man, who was involved in an organisation for young women but was still amazingly sexist and I felt sorry for his wife - turned out he was totally henpecked at home and see ruled the roost! causing him to take it out on all us young women!

She criticizes him in public...behind his back - not to his face...and I know they nearly divorced years ago. But she criticizes everyone, so I don't know how significant that is. He has an elected position, so he does have some prestige. Maybe things at home are not what they seem to the casual observer.

And I've tried to find a way to be sympathetic to her. Maybe her ego is so fragile that she is a beast to compensate. Who knows? But regardless of what causes it, she's a smiley - bleep on wheels. I'd be much happier if she moved in with the son who is 1000 miles away.

I was referring to my woman in question. She's the one who is a big women's libber. Obviously, I don't know your woman in question. But I'm here to listen if you want to rant about her.

Big Bad Pussy Cat

Hands up anybody who`s been looking foward to a nice night out when their femail partner/freind walks into the room holding two dresses and asks"which do you prefere, the red dress or the black dress?"and what ever your reply she asks "Why what`s wrong with the other one"or you try to be clever and give no reply so she says "So what your actualy saying is you don`t like either!" so you try to explain your just trying to avoid an argument so she replies "So you think I`m agumentitive?!"
In conclution their is no such thing as an insufferable woman just women who need people to understand them more

ah well i kind of went through this earlier today with my bf - the thing is it is entirely genuine when you ask, but then often the response indicates that the bf is not thinking along the same lines as you, regarding the look you are going for - eg i was trying to dress down something that looked quite dressy (i thought) and asked which scarf and jacket to wear and the ones he suggested all dressed it up even more, so i got iriitable. It was just a matter of bad communication on both sides, although even when i explained my motivations he still didn't seem to get it smiley - sigh.

I should also point out that i'm probably what you would call a "big women's libber" too smiley - winkeye on account of wanting to differentiate between myself and a doormat smiley - tongueout

well, i think i will rant. why is it that women say they like honest people, but the moment someone tells the truth they get all worked up about it? for example, if i got my face breyed in and asked how i looked i wouldn't hold it against anyone who said i look a mess, but a woman...

It gets better as we get older. We've made peace with our looks, so we don't care what others think of 'em, so we don't ask. smiley - smiley

And we dress for comfort, not to impress anyone, so if you don't like our outfits, look at something else. smiley - smileysmiley - smileysmiley - smiley
