how do I get that to work? I want to spice my name up a bit, but when I entered "H h: " to spice it up, it just spat the code back at me! please help!

As far as I know, the code is for GuideML only -- which means things like guide entries, not things like user names which are in text. People here have used funky symbols in their user names, but I'm under the impression that they did so the traditional ASCII way, not using GuideML. But, I've never done it myself (nor felt the call to, truly), so please someone correct me if I'm wrong on this one.

You have to use the character map on your pc to get those. At least, I think that's how people do it.

You do it by holding down the alt key while typing the number on the number pad
eg
¿ => Alt 168
ö Ü they are all there though only some of them show up! I think Wonko the Insane would be the person to ask for a list but since he has altered his username to all 
characters I don't know where to find him
