Oh, yes, we always do.
I'm not quite sure what happens next - I can log on here, but haven't got any email access at the moment, so I am no sure where my fellow editors are right now. I know there have been a few glitches in RL for some of us recently.
In the meantime, while we wait for the grownups to come along, pull up a stool and tell us about yourself.
*thinks*
*how to get the ball rolling?*
*hmmm.....*
What is your most memorable experience with cheese?
Ben

Cheese, Good question I must buy about 4 different kinds of cheese a week. I'd have to say the most memorable ...
*pauses for deep thought*
hmmm it'd have to be when my girlfriend returned from france with loads (i mean loads) of really odd cheeses, although i got sick of them after a few weeks.

Still waiting on that grape answer , but looks very promising.
Now to business. (and that wasn't a toast, but you can drink to it if you would like)
The first thing to do is to get into the Alternative Writing Workshop <./>RF5</.>. Comment on some entries, and start grooving to whatever tunes you find in there. There is some great stuff in there, and with a little persistence, you'll find real gems.
The second task is to familiarize yourself with the UG scheme. Usually, I send people to the <./>UnderGuide</.> page to start to sink their teeth into the meat of the UnderGuide. A few good entries to look through are A1092539 and the pages linked from it at the top. They give a general job description.
There are two rules to which all miners must adhere-
1- Don't take yourself too seriously.
2- See number one.
When you're comfortable and you understand the general idea of the UG, let me know and I'll give you the keys into the offsite group and your imaginary office (well, imaginary cubicle... you'll get an imaginary office when you've proved yourself ).
I think that's it from me. Any questions?

Terrific!
The AWW really is the soul of the UnderGuide, so once you're comfortable with that, you're definitely starting off on the right foot.

Ok, send an email to two addresses - underguideeditors at hotmail dot com and jodantaylor at gmail dot com. (I check the latter regularly, but I'm lazy, so the other eds can get your address if with the other address if I forget) Then we'll send you an invite to the UG Yahoo! group, and you can begin the good work.

But how many grapes....? Does it make a difference whether they are red or green? Interested people want to know. I think we should be *told*
And yes - I am going to vote. It is important, and it is something worth being excited about.
