A long awaited edition...

In more ways than one. It came later than usual, I assume because Greebo wasn't here. I had also been waiting for Hypatia's column and my Inquisitorial debut
Anyway, an overall brilliant issue! Especially since you had to do this without your trusty deputy.

Actually, it was all ready well on time but I lost h2g2 itself for a while! It has been intermittant for me all day - must have heat stroke!
Sadly, we have also lost MaW to the jungle of the 'real world' and 'w**k!
Luckily, he will still be writing his stories.

Oh... and I knew you would be lurking, so I posted Greebo's aticle and Mr Inquisitor last of all!

I had the same server problems. I thought I was missing out on the post But if I knew you were going to be mean and post the good stuff last, I don't think I would have hurried to the computer
Greebo's count is hard. I tried to do it by eyes, but that didn't work...
And I'm flattered by Awix's introduction in Mr Inquisitor.

Yes... Greebo's eyes have been staring at me all week (on my desktop) and I still haven't managed to work out the count!
Maybe I should just try to estimate it from the number of s she packed for her holiday.

I'm thinking it could be 42 just because it's h2g2, and according to my account it's somewhere in the 30s, 40s, 50s or 60s.
Can I get a clue? How many did she pack?

A rather large suitcase full!
But I'm none the wiser - I am never party to the answers to Greebo's quizzes until they are finished!

I just realized that you meant you've lost MaW for good, not just this issue I see you just updated the page, which I didn't see just ten minutes ago when I went to get a link to the GuidePost.
Now I'm going to have to step up my survellience of the post team to figure out who is going to fill his post.
Oh well. He wasn't around for that long though...

No - I don't think he realised how stepping out of uni and into civvy street would affect his time. Oh well, I am sure we'll survive - we generally do and have managed with a small team before.

I'm sure you'll get some applications soon. 'Twas my dream before I got busy with the UG (Which by the way only has two editors )

Pastey was never editorial, which is a shame because it's an enormous job every week. I never really appreciated that until I had to help with it!

Well, technically, there hasn't been anything for Pastey to do for some time.
He set up the off h2g2 Post site but that has been broken for a long time now and all other so-called 'technical' problems are resolved by myself, Greebo or The Towers.
We try to stay in touch but he, like MaW, is extremely busy doing other things. As one of the founders of The Post, he is still appreciated but not really part of the workforce, so we have taken his name off the Post Office page.

I just realize how hot it is over there. The Celsius threw me off, but I saw it on the news (In Fahrenheit) so now I get it

I do not get why Americans still use Farenheit... but then I suppose why do the British still use feet, inches and miles?
