simply scruff singing a rainbow Posted Jan 7, 2004
If angels fixed my broken wings
and showed me how to stand
And gave me back simplicity
And held this shaking hand
If they could open up these eyes
that closed in pain and stayed that way
And take away confusion
And tell me where I am today
If they could stop this aching
If they could give me rest
And tell me life is easy
And tell me there's no test
And tell me there's an answer
And tell me not to cry
And promise people care for me
And promise they won't lie
But angels are for angels
And mortal wings can't fly
We'll never reach the heavens
No matter how we try
I don't believe in angels
They are hope but they're not true
I do believe I love you
And you saved me when you loved me too
So here's to you my angel
Who gave these wings a try
I might not reach the heavens
But I've never flown this high.
scruff X

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
