How bad will it be ?

Labour are expecting a mauling in these elections, but how bad is it going to be ?

Prudence has not offered anything in the budget to soften the blow, have Labour given up ? Or are they supremely confident ?

It's difficult to predict how many votes Labour might lose. I don't like to think the BBC news shows a bias against Tony, but every night we are treated to a different story showcasing how bad new Labour policies are. Makes it very hard to get a clear idea of how voters actually feel.

I think that's more a case of a lot of poor policies.

Are these elections being fought on local issues ? Locally a shift in council spending focus seems to be the issue.

Local issues might take precedence over national issues. Here we have had Town, County and District Councils all raise their rates.

Also, our local hospital is being closed. Also, there is a great majority of country people in our area who were not happy about the ban on hunting with dogs.

Well the prediction all seem to agree that Labour will be third.
