Guys, I still not read yours opinions about this matter, but I'm brazilian and here in my country I have seen children prefering change the human contact for the on-line experiences. I think it's a good way to do the children gear out of dangers of day and it's also become them able to do some professional things (it's puting theirs in the digital age). But for another side, it's can be very bad, because it people are been actaked by "mass midia" and are leaving of to change real life experiences.
Then I think that here "the console" will win, but everyboy need to get a balance about for keep the value of humans, because it keep us live.

My middle aged brother-in-law visited recently and described playing WarCraft online. He forgot to bring his copy, so his wife said, "Just go buy a copy" ($50). Instead, we downloaded the demo version for free (about 12 hours at dialup modem speed), and it worked great. We spent several evenings getting our butts kicked by kids in places like Korea.
This was on a PC, not a console, but the human interaction was there, including "chat". He said one time an opponent said he was quitting, so he asked "Giving up?" The reply was, "No, my mom says I have to go to bed."
I think The console game will win.
