Now you've made me look up what my Brockhause writes about Hitler, and there are a few things that might be worth integrating into the entry, but I'll be on a holiday for a week, plus I have an enrty to sub, but if you can wait for a while longer, I'll come back to you afterwards. smiley - smiley
What you could do right now, though, is to mention his birthdate: 20 April, 1889 smiley - erm

How's this all going, benjamin? As far as I've heard, you didn't get round to finishing this project. It would be good to see it finished, and minichessemouse has been not-getting-round-to-finishing working on something similar - see F13071383?thread=6456904

Right. Just looked and I do have five entries, although one of them is Matts, which is a little tricky. Not sure what state that's in. Either way, I need to write two more entries to complete the timeline and then I need to go over the old ones and tidy them up a bit. If I start work on this nowish I can plug on steadily until early february when I will have writing comittments elsewhere. Fingers crossed.

Why indeed I do. You would think this would make me organised. It has not.

What's the longest an entry has taken from start to successful finish? Especially not going via the FM

One of mine (Sea Wings 2000) took 10 years 11 months

Admittedly the delay was mainly caused by me taking ages to finish writing it...

It works best if you imagine it in the geordie accent of that bloke who narrates big brother:

'Day 3,792. Blue Bottle has decided to write another sentance. 2Legs has been summoned to the diary room by big brother'

I think big brother would run screaming if they had 2legs on the show

I was told to put each of my individual project entries into PR as soon as i finished them

Is that how we do things now? I can smarten up the existing current entries and pr them.

I don't know if that is how it is normally being done these days, just what I was told to do

At the moment, people are using both Peer Review and the University. If you want to go the University route, I always start a conversation at the Subeditors page (A395697) asking if anyone is interested in subediting the project, as no-one pays attention to the University pages. The advantage of the University route is that all the articles are kept together in the order that you want them, and subedited in one style. The main disadvantage is that it does seem to be slow.
Alternatively you can use Peer Review. This seems much quicker, it's easier to see what's going on with each entry, but they won't necessarily make it to the front page in the order you wish people to read them (although if you liaise, you can normally request them to make the front page together), and thus won't necessarily link to each other.
If you've got some ready, but need to work on others, there's no reason not to use Peer Review. The recent Dieselisation and American Architecture projects have gone through Peer Review. It's up to you. Swings and roundabouts, both have pros and cons.

I can see the problem about ordering - this project has a greater level of timeline progress about it, whereas mine (about the field Olympic sports) doesn't really gain from being in a specific order

The subs have also altered each entry as the next one is finished, so they all link to each other
