Here's a page where people can discuss the conflict in DR Congo. A1062316
I'd encourage researchers to start similar pages for other conflicts they know about, but which are not given much attention by the media.

BBC News says that over 3 million have died either in fighting or as a result of starvation and disease because of the fighting in DR Congo, making it the second most deadly war since World War II.
That's why I can't understand invading Iraq while ignoring Congo. It's already "carnage."

Josef Stalin is reported to have said, One Death is a Tragedy, A Million Deaths is a Statistic.
Why are there No aUNTIE mAUD embedded Bleaters and Pleaders in the middle of the Belgian Congo Colonial Aftermath Carnage.
Why is aUNTIE mAUD being so Timid Cowardly and Squeamish.
Why is General Bush in Africa crying his eyes out and saying Sorry About Cotton Pickin' Slavery in the Old Days.
Politics.

Four Million, according to a Channel 4 Update Documentary broadcast last night.
Four Million in the last Five Years.
A very Stalinesque Statistic.
There is a statistical discrepancy of One Million Dead People, because aUNTIE mAUD said Three Million.
Stalin is reported to have said, One Death is A Trajedy, A Million Deaths is A Statistic.
So both are probably only rough Estimates.
It is also estimated that Seventeen (unarmed) Journalists have been permanently embedded in various warzones.
If I was a Channel 4 Congo Warzone Hack, I would carry the Curse of Africa as well as my Pen.
Despite the statistics, A Trajedy is about to Unfold in The Congo.
There was A Boy Soldier, that Curtsied to The Journalist.
All Channel 4 has to do is Stay With That Boy, like a Big Brother, and let us follow his Life.
If he lives to be sixteen, he will have become Ugly. His Face will be Ugly.
Only The Good Die Young.
The more we see of That Boy, the better chance He has of being saved, and the better chance He has of being saved, the better chance have All the rest of not being chopped up.
Perhaps That Boy will get lucky one day and have his Arms Chopped Off, and end up in Great Ormond Street Childrens' Hospital getting fitted up with Brand New Designer Arms, and given lots and lots of Sympathy and the opportunity to start A New Life as they say.
Perhaps that is how it will end.

The Pen is of more use to a Nigerian Traffic Warden in London than is The Curse of Africa to an English Hack in the middle of The Congo Carnage.
Funny Init.
