I am sure that there are folks who think that by commenting on that posting in the manner I did, I am being "anti-Christian"... Au contraire.

I have family members who are devout Christians and I respect their beliefs and their way of believing. That type of crackpottery, though, is simply beyond the pale. Strangely, that sort of mentality considers my personal beliefs as "hate-mongering" but in making truly hate-filled statements, packed with lies, they are being "true Christians"....

I am sure that Jesus would have a thing or two to say about what is "Christian behaviour" and what is not....

Sadly, the children are the ones who will suffer. No respectable place of higher education or any workplace would accept such flawed "research" as these kids display.

I am not speaking simply of Creationism. I have my own personal beliefs about that. I am talking about the incredibly strange processes that come up with the conclusions such as the one that women are paid less than "normal people" because they can't work as hard.... "meaning that they are unable to work as well and thus earn equal pay"...

I see a lot McDonald's employees in the making... (no offense to McDonal's employees!).

The majority of christians don't, Della. I thinks that's just the problem. That's why christianity has so many detractors. Because people tend to wrongly assume that insane, redneck, American, southern fundamentalists are typical of christians. When in fact they are a tiny minority.

Christianity shouldn't be tarred with their brush. It's just another example of Americans arrogantly and wrongly believing they speak for the entire world.

Your right about christianity. There are otherwise sane people who actually belive that Bush is christian or acting in a christian manner.

US presidents have long made a habit of cynically using their religion to attempt to justify all manner of atrocities. (Reagan was particularly adept at it.) Ironic, really, as it's exactly what they accuse Muslim leaders of.
