sure have get your kit off and get in here ..good job it`s a walk in fridge..oooooo somthing has frozen solid...it`s ok it`s only an ice pop i had in my pocket..
so you been out sunning yourself today Helen?
I tend to try and stay in the shade when the sun is out and just restrict myself to half hour stints in the sun if i have to..I find i tan better and the tan seems to last longer without burning..how about you do you need sun block rubbing on you?

serenity Posted Jun 19, 2005
i try not to go out at all. i hate it.
i dont use sun block or anything as im never out there to get a tan
i was cutting the grass at 9 last night after the sun had passed over.
we have a suntrap and its ideal for those sunworshippers. but im not one of them.
i like the weather to be about 15*. i dont mind the cold if im dressed right and i love the rain or a good thunderstorm.
but this heat..... forget it

Hey i did that as well went out and mowed the lawn just as the sun went down but i only did that because if you do it when the sun is still shinning on it the sun will scorch the lawn, although mine looks as if i may end up digging it all up and re-seeding it. then i watered it and this afternoon we had thunderstorms and heavy rain..feel sorry for anyone who decided with the hot weather they would go camping for the weekend..the weather is too unpredictable to book any camping holidays or bar-b-q or anything like that..

serenity Posted Jun 19, 2005
as i dont go camping anymore or bother doing a bbq for just me...its not a problem.
we had the storms as well, but it hasnt done any good.

if i was to do that, it would break the camera
i have got one of those galileo thermometers. the ones with the coloured balls that float up and down with the changes in temperature.
if all of the balls are at the bottom of the tube, its 26*.
they were, for most of yesterday and thats with it being sat on the mantlepeice, nowhere near direct sunlight.
at the moment, its 22*.

tell you what we will let it rain during the week at night as long as it stays dry for the weekend..then we won`t have to put up with people telling us to save water..why don`t they have some of those sea water purification plants
dotte around the coast like they have abroad? there is plenty of sea water to go round..and it may even stp the sea water from wearing away the coastline at the points where the plants are situated..
and if your camera keeps breaking i would hate to think what would happen if i try taking a photo of my body if i can find a camera capable of takin one i`ll send you a copy..as long as you don`t send it to any magazines for the money..hahahaha

You wouldn`t have liked barbados anyway cos it`s hotter over there than it is here..and you wouldn`t like Blackpool much nicer on Anglesey..i`ll have to show you how to get there..lol

serenity Posted Jun 20, 2005
i know where anglesey is..
just leave my house, and head for the A5, which is just up the road and stay on it... heading towards wales, not london
im one of those rare breeds.. a woman who knows how to read a map and has a brilliant sense of direction.

Coool so you are the ONE hahahaha there are times when i wish for someone like you in my car
(apart from when i`m feeling friskylol)
I am trying at the moment to teach my son how to read a map and navigate while i concentrate on doing the driving..
my mrs came out with a comment one day whil we was out we took a wrong turn she said it was because in the book there was a number on the road and she couldn`t see any numbers on the road we was on..

i dont know where i get it from.. my mom was absolutely useless and could get you lost on the estate we lived on, back then..
i do have my own unique method of telling people where to go though, but it gets then wherever they want to be...
i go by the colours used on the map, not the numbers and by inches, not miles.
so if i was to say that you had to go down the red road for 3 inches..... and then a green one for 1/2 inch.. it sounds silly, but it works..
its my simplistic childlike mind

I think i prefare the method of using town names and road numbers..i would hate to be going down a blue road for four inches only to find it is a river..lol
i used to have to tell the driver before we set of wether the road was dual carriagway or if a bridge is going to be high enough for the wagon to go under or if it is going to be strong enough for the waggon to go over and all sorts of other things like that i could even tell him where the nearest post office or police station was..and that is what i want my son to be able to do for me when i take him out anywhere in car..used to be a lot easier when i used to ride motor bikes cos i could use roads and short cuts that i would never be able to go down in a car and cut out a lot of the journey time..

i have to be like that when i go out with grumpy..
whether its in his lorry or coach.
i used to feel like an unpaid navigator/hostess/soother of fraying nerves..
i must admit, ive seen more of the country that way, than i ever would on day trips..
trouble is, now that he is on permanent nights, you dont get to see so much, but its great what you can see, as you are much higher up in the lorry cab..
its surprising on how much you miss being so low down in a car...

went to Windy Harbour camp and caravan site over the weekend (near Blackpool) nice quite site they see to be still in the stages of developing the site so maybe in a couple of years it will be another Butlins the thing is it is only half hour drive from my home..(straight up the blue line for 2 inches turn left onto another blue line for one inch then right onto green line for an inch and a half and your there).. so it is somewhere we could go for the weekend and nip back at night to check on the house and dogs while we are away..Does Pinky (jackie) live somewhere near Blackpool?
ld tea bar
serenity Posted Jun 27, 2005
see.. i told you that my map reading skills are ok.. you managed to get there in one piece
yes, pinky does live in blackpool, but i dont have any of her details.
not even her activemail address
