I think a single cone is sort of like an exclamation mark, like one of theose road signs in a red triangle ! When I see one, I just raise my eye-brows and try to ejaculate some sort of surprise, as the sign apparently implores me to do.

I'll second on grounds of age despite the fact that it prompted a classic Trout remark. And despite that I love the idea that since a single cone can't delineate a specific area it must indicate that the whole universe is coned off.
