You have my full support in favour of viewer tags, I have even included one on my page.
The first time I went to someone else's page and saw my name there, I felt that I was expected, someone actually wanted to speak to me and that really made me feel good. 
It spurred me on to add a viewer tag to my own page. Although mine is quite simple and unsophisticated at the moment that's not to say that it won't change in the future!

Hi there and welcome.
glad to see that some people actually like being greeted and get a laugh from the tag, like I did!
Whe I get time I am going to tart up the ViSA page to include a list of members.
