Hello Just,
For the time being the situation remains the same as when I wrote the post last week (above) - we haven't as of yet been given the go-ahead to lift the war guidelines. However, we will let you know the moment a change occurs.

'If you want change, tell us why h2g2/DNA is a great structure in which debate can flourish. BBC bashing will get you nowhere.'
Debate flourishes here on many subjects, why shouldn't it flourish here on all subjects?
As for bbc bashing, as a license payer, I reserve the right to bash.

The policy has been suspended - check <./>Announcements</.>. However, this is not the end of the Proposal - we need to try and make sure this doesn't happen again.
Whoami?

"Sorry", said the barman, "you can't all sit together to talk about things over a quiet drink here. You have to go to the next table. If you do, you'll have to go through another convoluted age verification process before you can actually order. Plus the other table has different opening hours. And it's got a completely different crowd on it. And we have a different set of wallpaper and a different decor. And no jukebox. Might as well be a different pub in fact, but somehow it's the same pub. Don't ask me how - we must be in one of those tortuously over-extended analogies. Fancy a pint?"
At my grandfather's local, he and his group of regulars frequently complain about how the place isn't as good as it used to be under the old management, back when it was called the , and it served . As of yet, it seems that the new manager hasn't bothered to come over and call them inconsiderate. Too busy running the pub, I guess.
I had a point somewhere, but I've forgotten it.

It looks smaller because the management are going round moving some of the tables to another room...

No peety,we must not look back but forward ever forward to a brighter and more glorious future. The tables that are still here are made of better wood. Less is more. Two legs better than four legs.Watch out! don't lean on it!!!!
