Very nice piece! Nicely illustrates a process so that the uninitiated can expect to be successful!
However, it was a bit off-putting to see violated what I thought was something of a cardinal sin on H2G2; the mixture of types of units of measure. It would have been slightly better had the piece stuck to the cups and ounces, or switched entirely to grams and ml.
Better still, it could primarily use one and provide conversions.

I'd have stuck with metric throughout, but the flour-water paste recipe hardly requires more than a rough ratio - it would have been unnecessarily pedantic to specify 125ml of flour to 500ml of boiling water. The lack of consistency is partly due to the fact I've never used flour-water paste myself. If I did I wouldn't be using a measuring cup, just a cup, quarter filling it by eye

I agree, Pimm. A ratio would have been perfectly fine and would have made it seem less jumbled.
I also agree that I'm being unnecessarily pedantic myself.
