To go along with Nov 9, 1989, we could add:
Nov 9, 1938 - Kristallnacht - often considered the beginning of the Holocaust (I've referred to this as "The European 9/11", but I doubt the name will catch on)
And I believe the last King of Germany's reign ended on a November 9th as well.

9th of november close to the 5th thats an important date have you seen the film alled v for vendetta? its great but one thing still puzzles me abt the 5th of november i just cant catch it rrrrrrrr....
