...please don't worry if you're not "..a chain cigar-smoking whisky drinker whose tastebuds are neutered by years of abuse.." because it's definitely best drunk black. Have some courage and get stuck into the full experience. smiley - tea

I *am* "..a chain cigar-smoking whisky drinker whose tastebuds are neutered by years of abuse.." but I prefer it white! I've tried the 'full experience' - I felt as though I should put it in a pipe and smoke it! smiley - bigeyes

Milk in tea of any kind (or coffee) is like lard on bread. Yet an amazing number of people put up with it. Like it, even. smiley - huh

Can't we all just get along? smiley - smiley I drink it black out of convenience (no fridge for milk in my dorm room), but I can see how the strength would drive most drinkers away. LS reminds me particularly of kilbasa sausage. The robustness itself earned Lapsong S my most-favored-tea status. A friend turned me onto it in high school. Just bought a bag from CoffeAM.com this week, in fact.

Anybody know much about caffeine in tea? I'v been told before it has more than coffee, is this true? I'm trying to cut down and I'm struggling. Never realised how addictive it was until I stopped smiley - sadface

Can't we all just get along? smiley - smiley Yes, I apologise. That's what happens when you discuss matters of taste. It's like an open-topped van, with only one lengthways wooden bench seat.

Oh, sorry, that's CoffeeAM.com, two e's. Typo.

At any rate, I'm quite sure that regular black tea contains about half the caffeine of regular coffee. A few Google searches should clear the matter up.

Thanks. I'll have to look around for a UK version.

As for the question about quantity of caffeine - you were right:

I was just being lazy before, should have tried it to begin with.
