I beg to differ here!
The Zapper featured an ultraviolet fly-zapping 2 which was killed by the fly.
The fly survives the encounter.

Turvy, there's a delay of about a second before the stunned fly re-emerges; when time was tight I've seen them cut away before the fly reappeared, so the same bit of footage gives two different impressions depending on the out-point chosen.
