But how do you get the preservatives and colourings in?

Interestingly enough, three of the ingredients of Sunny D (water, sodium hexametaphosphate,
and a third I can't remember but's it's another chemical name) are also three of the ingredients
in /rocket propellant/.

Thomas Pynchon's rocket #00000 was kind of sick.

Maybe it needed more sodium hexametaphosphate. Doesn't that chemical make you salivate? Yummy. I'm going to feed that to my kids by the truckload!!

As if that's not bad enough what about children's toothpaste? They have reduced level of flouride to stop the little darlings suffering from flourosis because they swallow the stuff. And to promote healthy eating and looking after your teeth, they pack the stuff with saccarine to make it taste sweeter than your average boiled sweet!!!!

I have only just found this forum on Sesame Street and I just wanted
to point out that on the subject of advertising during the programme.
I agree with the feeling on advertising problems but don't forget,
whichever edition of Sesame Street you are watching, (am or pm)
there are no advertising breaks DURING the programme, just like the BBC.
I may be wrong but I get the impression that this is the only programme on
a commercial channel that does this.

My 3 year old daughter has grown up with Sesame Street and I watched it with
her and she has a very good grasp of the alphabet. I also have a friend who's
8 year old daughter has the best reading skills in her school and this child
grew up with a lot of tv viewing in her life. Sesame Street is not a harmful
programme. I would rather my children watched that compared to others.

The Playstation baby is a genuine thing. Can't remember his age, but he was still in nappys and had a face fixed in the belligerent glare that comes as standard with crap computer games. His mother should have stuck to Descent, Tekken and WipEout 2097.
The key activity in my childhood was climbing trees. I hardly ever see it these days, even when I go back home where trees outnumber houses by one hundred to one. It is, after all, what our bodies evolved for. Almost. There may be a few alterations to help us walk, but people seem to think nowadays that we were designed to sit in cars.

Do I take it you don't know what a boiled sweet is? Things like cough candy, or lemon sherbets. Basically they are hardend sugar syrup with various friut flavours etc. Kola Cubes are another one.
