Juvenile Cormorant

SashaQ writes: I recently went to the beach and spotted a juvenile Cormorant sitting on the sea wall. Adult Cormorants have dark plumage on their front as well as their backs, and they are known for stretching out their wings to dry off after they have been fishing for food. The juvenile has a fluffy white front, but is already good at stretching its wings.
