This week's title is Journeys and Destinations. How is your September shaping up? Our contributors have Seen Some Things. Tavaron has had high water: the river overflowed from the monstrous amount of rain in Austria. They had to shore up the bridge, and schools were closed. Picture and video evidence inside.

Sasha and Paige saw birds doing bird things, and got nice photos. Superfrenchie saw seals! Seals basking, seals swimming. I went to a zoo and saw, oh, so many things. I believe I have correctly identified them all, but if I haven't, Willem will set us straight. Before it rained so much, Tavaron observed the swallows gathering for their southward migration. Her barn was an assembly point, it seems. Lots going on around the planet that has absolutely nothing to do with politics. Enjoy.

FWR was in a church, and the roof didn't fall in on the old heathen, so we get lovely photos. He and I have been having a lovely discussion on spirituality and architecture – expect more photos on that subject in future issues, as he has been a-roving.

Speaking of roving, Bluebottle has yet another tank for you to admire and learn about. No, there's no quiz. Good thing, too. This tank's name is Ajax, see it lumber about. He also has another installment of the church fête saga that is somehow a cross between Samuel Beckett and the Marx Brothers, only with hymns.

Speaking of high-minded entertainment, we have lots of fiction for you. Caiman and I are still soldiering on with our 2024 stories. Caiman's heroes are high on a mountain and facing dire peril. Mine are covered in grape juice. We also have reruns! You may not have seen these short stories before, or you may have forgotten all about them, but here they are to haunt you again with their wit and prescience. One is by Awix, one is by FWR, and one is by me. So don't say I never gave you anything.

There's also humour, a quiz, miscellaneous foolery, and Awix on cinema. That should hold you till we get a rope.
