December usually brings holidays for people around the planet. Everyone has a favourite custom or habit. Even people who don't celebrate often have customs – like going to a Chinese restaurant for breakfast on Christmas morning because it isn't your holiday and everything else is closed.

Some customs are very specific and local, like the US reporter who looked at the town crêche and remarked, 'It just isn't the same without the dinosaurs.' In the Nebraska town where he grew up, the park had a permanent set of dinosaurs and a seasonal Nativity scene. The T. Rex looking down on the manger was his idea of a festive touch.

So what do you do? We want you to share:

• Songs and stories
• Customs (pictures, please!)
• Crafts
• Decorations
• Your favourite guilty pleasures of the season
• Recipes!

Tell us about your holiday, wherever it's celebrated. It doesn't matter how many or how few are in your gathering. We want to know the folklore, the fun, and the unusual things you do. And don't forget about the food!
