What makes you think your house is haunted?

There's an oppressive atmosphere. It makes us feel depressed and suicidal for no apparent reason. There's also this odd clanging noise every so often, like someone walking about in a suit of armour.

That was a rhetorical question, as I doubt someone from this third-rate planet could truly make any sense out of reality. I've existed for millions, maybe billions of years of Earth time and I still can't make neither head nor tail of it, whatever that ghastly saying means. Brain the size of a planet and here I am walled up in this medieval building by the last lord Dumbarton. Seems he got fed up with me going on and on about how terrible existence really is. I think they dragged him off to the nearest asylum, screaming his head off but not before having me bricked up in this series of tunnels that don't go anywhere: story of my life really. No I am not a ghost just a highly sophisticated android that was obsolete before it was even finished being built. I'm not boring you, am I? I tend to do that, you know. Hello, are you still there? Oh well, another thousand years before I find someone else interesting to talk to, I suppose.
