Snow!

Farside of the Moon.

Snow, snow, when are you falling?

The answer, of course, is now. Morning, noon, and night. At the most inconvenient times. Snow falleth on the just and the unjust, on North Americans and Europeans and on the UK. Snow only doesn't fall on our intrepid naturalist in South Africa, which is why Willem is practically the only contributor who didn't send us a snow picture this week. It's snowing in Pennsylvania as I write. It's snowing up in Scotland. Kids in Austria are making snowmen. Just grin and bear it and enjoy the pictures.

If you don't have snow, stop gloating. Here's what's in this week's issue, besides snow.
  • A wolverine. They're not just for Hugh Jackman fans.
  • Weird signs found. Beware of cows. (Why did the cow cross the road? Because it was in a moo-d. We're here all week.) Want to buy a tree service? Challenging in a forested region. Pay attention to the batsignal.
  • Beauty. Lots of cool photography to ooh and aah over. Please vocalise accordingly.
  • Humour, jokes galore. Some of them are funny.
  • Puzzles, things to caption, nature to identify.
  • Opinions to opine over. Especially about cinema and music.
  • Stories, old and new.
  • Video evidence of snow. We don't make up weather.


We'll be back next week with more Stuff. (Send more Stuff.) Keep warm, stay safe, and remember, snow shovelers: lift with your legs, not with your back. The Internet recommends spraying your snow shovel with non-stick cooking spray to make the snow slide off more easily. Let us know how that works out for you.
