Solnushka shared some photos from the lavish Moscow New Year celebrations. She said there was a space theme going, see above. Here's a sampling of the stunning visuals from Red Square.

She writes:

So apart from the snow, we were just behind Red Square today, where they have a European Xmas market (for New Year). Literally European, with little areas from Prague, Strasbourg, Copenhagen, and so on.

And one small stall for the UK, because clearly its connection to Europe is rather tenuous.
