The h2g2 Traveller: Pagans Dance in the May

Europe is a strange continent.

Pagans Dance in the May

A crowd around the Walpurgis Night fire in Lund, Sweden.

Milla sent this photo taken on Walpurgis Night in Lund.

'Did you have any witches?' the Editor asked.

'No, in Sweden the witches all fly away at Easter,' was the reply.

Tavaron agreed with the Post Editor that in Austria and Germany, witches get involved on Walpurgisnacht. Tav added that some get nekkid, 'whether Granny Weatherwax approves or not'. The Editor pointed out that in Pennsylvania, witches think it's too cold to go sky-clad most of the year.

However you celebrated Walpurgis Night, May is now here, and you can enjoy it all month.
