This is intriguing enough that I plan to make it this weekend. I had never thought of mixing bratwurst/sausages with curry powder and tomatoes. Probably not ketchup, though, as that would push the sodium levels way too high for me .

We always make it with ketchup, so I'm interested to hear how it works out.

I just made some, using a mix of tomato sauce and ketchup. Also, bratwurst seems similar enough to hot dogs that I don't try to keep both on hand, just hot dogs.

I paired it with a vegan potato/cabbage dish that I got from Lanzababy. I've been Oktoberfest celebrations where bratwurst was paired either with sauerkraut or with potato salad.

Both dishes were on the hot side, so I'm probably going to need some antacids .

Well, Currywurst doesn't *have* to be hot, that's why I listed the chilli powder as optional. I don't like too hot dishes myself, so we usually cook it with very little chilli (although my bf would prefer a bit more).

Hot dog sausages are not quite the same, but I can imagine it works with them too.

You only need hot pepper in the mix if you want to camouflage having bought cheapest Bratwurst.

It's fine. I didn't need antacids after all. There's still enough for two more meals. Next time, though, I might not want to pair it with anything spicy.
