Oh the memories.....
He-man must have been the begginning of tv merchandising, a market that has grown so large that it seems that all cartoons today are given the red light if they do not feature marketable toys, gizmos and action figures. Incidentally wasn't the major cause of conflict between skeletor and he-man all about their swords? If you combined the two some gargantuan force was released that could be for evil or good depending who was victorious? But great article, my He-man married my girlfriends Barbie and they had lego men kids. On another note does amyone remember a cartoon called Ulysies?

Ulysses 32 as it was known in the UK was a dubbed anime series that ertold the voyages of the hero of Greek myth in a sci-fi setting. Each episode the vengeful "gods" threw another obstacle in the path of Ulysses on his journey home. It was available on VHS years ago, but you'd have a nightmare trying to track it down today.
