The h2g2 Poem: A Stormy Night

A Stormy night

Darkness falls over the sky,
A woman tends the hearth,
A woodworker splits wood, dry
And rain falls down on Earth.
The animals quake in fear,
From the great noise above.
The farmers cheer and rejoice,
For this sign of God's love.
And so, the raindrops fall,
Pitter-pat, Pitter pat,
And so, they fall so slow.
Striking terror and awe in man,
And helping all the crops grow.
