Correct john it was an RT - Also Michael Crawford in "some Mothers..." was an RT too not a Routemaster!!

To be correct it was an RTL, (Leyland PD2/1 used by London Transport ) the bus was RTL 326 that had been sold by LT in 1958, the bus still survives.
None of the items in this section of Routemaster use are actually correct,
In addition to those already corrected that didn't feature Routemasters, Summer holiday, Frank Spencer and On the Buses, the Spice girls also didn't use a Routemaster, they used a front entrance rear engined Bristol VRT bus.
