On the Buses used Bristol FLF's based at Eastern Nationals bus garage in Wood Green London, not Routemasters.

At the risk of being pedantic, I think you'll find "On The Buses" used Eastern National's rear entrance Bristol K's, not the larger, front entrance Flf's.
I must get out more.

I know the feeling well!
They originally used FLF's in the TV series and then switched to the open-platformed RM-esque buses for the film adaptations On The Buses and Mutiny On the Buses.
The RM DID appear in Mutiny On The Buses in the scene where Stan Butler had to take a skid-pan test at London Transport using one of their own buses.
In the words of old Blakey himself........
"Oh Gawd, that's made my day, that has!!!!!"
