My wife bought me a kit called 'Grow your own sensitive plant' from Woolworth's. It was on 'special' and cost 20p, and consists of a plastic mini-flower pot and some seeds in some nice packaging.
Well, Ive recently started growing these and thought they looked a bit strange. Instead of fern like leaves they have broad leaves, and the base of the stem is bulbous and scarlet in colour.
I thought they might be a different type of sensitive plant,so I occasionally stroked them but with no effect.
Anyway, Mrs BA has just identifiued them - they're radishes!
