A Conversation for Great Ways to Spend a Sunday
Sunday on Wednesday
clzoomer- a bit woobly Started conversation Oct 18, 2002
My job has until very recently not been very 9 to 5, Monday to Friday. Even now I am never sure when my 'weekend' will be. Last week I had Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday off- so which day was 'Sunday'? It's great being able to shop when the shops are mostly empty, go to an event when it isn't crowded, or leave the pub at closing on a Wednesday night. The down side is obviously that my friends, family, etc. don't always have the same times off but they do now and then (usually once or twice a month) so it isn't all that bad. I also used to travel a lot with those hours so it was interesting being able to explore other cities and countries on workdays. I haven't had regular weekends off since my school days and I can't say I miss it.
