Indeed, a great article. Dan Dare also appeared in the short lived comic Revolver in the early nineties. It was a bit of an oddity, being about an old Dan Dare coming out of retirement to battle a government in league with the Mekon. I've not read any of the original stuff, so I don't know how it compared, but it made and interesting read at the time.

I was just about to mention the Revolver story but Munchkin has beaten me to it. I liked the Revolver plot so much that I went out and bought the graphic novel. I've just dug it out and started reading it again actually. Yep, still great...

Yes, I completely forgot about Revolver -- never mind, I've always seen it as Dan Dare's Never Say Never Again, if you see what I mean. Thanks for the support - writing this article was a labour of love - the perfect excuse to read all my Dad's bound reprints!
