Do you have any opinions on Austen's style of writing?
I do , but having been bludgeoned by rabid Jane-ites for expressing some criticisms, I remain cowed .
This is not to say that I do not enjoy her novels , I do .

I find her writing style reflective of the time. It's very different to HG Wells, approx. 80yrs. later, which is different again to modern books.
