...to fetch a pail of water. Jack fell down and broke his crown and Jill came tumbling after. Up Jack got and home did trot as fast as he could caper. He went to bed and wrapped his head in vinegar and brown paper.
This makes a lot more sense when you are told that brown parcel paper used to be made out of willow bark. And you've read this entry, of course.
