I am an ardent anime and manga lover so if anyone else can relate to this, thank you! To others, I MAY just be talking about utter rubbish.
The Grim Reaper is brought into another light in the anime and manga series, once upon a time hugely, hugely, hugely successful and popular, "Yu Yu Hakusho" and I believe it still is.
The Grim Reaper, or Botan, often appears at Yusuke's side to help him through missions set by their higher up, the Prince of the Universe Koenma.
I don't know what you think but I think Botan's role is a rather comic one, even if it doesn't appear so at first (although her first appearance is extrememly funny).
