Nihao!
As this is my first guide entry attempt I was hoping for some public opinion before I submit it to Peer review. (Does mythology count as fiction or not?) Thanks for any advice!

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

I know next to nothing about Greek Mythology, but this looks pretty good. Anyone with more knowledge on the subject than I, care to comment?

In particular I am wondering about the links...
For example should I tell the Judgement ot Paris story rather than just link to Discodianism? Some people might consider the Death and Sleep links a bit tenuous.

There have been a few entries of late covering Greek and Roman mythology. Why not have a trawl through the entire list of entries going through Peer Review and leave a note and a link in the thread to see if anyone will check out this one. I know 'Heracles' was one of them. I can't recall if any of them have been picked yet - if they have they'll no longer be in PR.

You could try an advanced search on a keyword like 'mythology' smiley - smiley

il viaggiatore

I have the name Agesilao in my head for some reason. Does it have anything to do with your topic?

Thanks Gosho!
It seems there are very few Edited guide entries on this subject at the moment... Sisyphus and Homer were the only ones I could find.
There are plenty of unedited ones on Zeus and co, and some kind of unified index but nothing I could officially link to...

Very well-written entry, and nice layout! smiley - cheers

Guywhosenamethisbrowsercan'tshowandmykeyboardcan'tspellanywaybutwhoIseemtorecallasstartingwithatheta >> Xenophon wrote a biography on the Spartan king Agesilao, maybe you're thinking of him??

Back to the entry: I think you should relate the judgement of Paris, and the rest of the story up to and including the "abduction" of Helen, as most people know of the Trojan War, but not everybody knows the events that triggered it.

A few links you may want to consider:
Greece: A133066
Hecate: A593471
Hypnosis: A352496

(note: I haven't read through these entries, just noticed that the titles seemed relevant)

Good luck, this entry just need a *little* finetuning, then it should be ready for the EG smiley - ok

Cheers,

Ta, Bistroist! I added a very short version of the Paris story as Eris's section was getting long enough but the direction to read the story in the Discordian section was a little ugly...
I also remembered that this Helen was the same Helen in Nemesis's section :>

Oberon2001 (Scout)

There's a whole directory devoted to mythology! It's C26, and there are around 60 entries in it. I think yours might go in People (C533) or Tales of Yore (C815). Check them out and see what you think. smiley - smiley
