It was interesting reading this article. I am a winemaker myself.
No, I don't own or run a wine farm, but I do have access to one.

Last April (remember I'm in the Southern Hemisphere), I handpicked about 500kg of cabernet sav grapes. I put them through the same process as described in the article, however I had access to a cellar in Constantia, Cape Town. This did make my life much easier.

Currently. most the wine (225l) is resting in a Bordeaux barrel, aging gently. It is really tasting quite fine at the moment.

I will probably bottle the wine in about 6-10 months, depending on the aging process.

ps: The constantia wines are the wines that Napoleon drank before his death.

Is that supposed to be a reccomendation or a warning?

Since he was poisined (not by the wine), I would assume that it is a recommendation. However since Jane Austin also waxed lyrical about the Constantia wines, I would hope they are good.

Seriously, the Constantia reds are absolutely fantastic wines. (not that I am biased or anything)
