Wet nellie wasn't the name of the Esprit - It was the name of the Jet Ski that was used to approach Drax's Sea Fortress.

Hi,
Do you have a source for that information? I'm relying on 'The Essential Bond: The Authorized Guide to the World of 007' by Lee Pfeiffer and Dave Worrall, which says:
"LOTUS ESPRIT: Nicknamed 'Wet Nellie' as a tribute to Bond's autogyro 'Little Nellie' (from 'You Only Live Twice'), the introduction of the seemingly indestructible Lotus was a major highlight of the series."
I'm happy to change it if you have better information!
Key: Complain about this post
