I would be very interested to hear from adults who have been either diagnosed with ADHD or believe they may have ADHD. I believe i have always had it as my son was diagnosed with it recently & i find i have the same
problems as he is suffering now.are there any adults out there who have struggled with this who want to share experiences & offer mutual support?
i hope to hear from you soonxx

Hello, I know this is a late one but we think my son has ADHD and also dyslexia (I have it so I know the signs) and we are wondering if you know of any good testers for ADHD. We watch a program on ADHD (sorry can't remember its title) but it gave no ref to the tester/s. We think it would be a good thing to get him checked out and see what to do from there.

Cheers
Nik

I have a 10 year old Daughter diagnosed as having ADHD and my sister has a son with ADHD and Autism I have yet to be diagnosed formally but all the signs and tests point to my having the condition.

I have unconciously developed coping strategies mainly making lists and getting others to 'nag' me out of daydreams and my wife understands how to calm me down and stop my distractions.

I could go on but below is a good start that wont bore you.....
If you need help or information you should visit www.adders.co.uk

good luck

I have the disorder too, but in lesser doses than some more extreme cases. I find that my conversations are rather disjointed; occasionally I'll jump from one bit to another without warning and others have a hard time keeping up. I also have something called hyperfocusing, which means that when I do get on track about something, I tend to put all my attention into it for a few minutes. But then my mind goes somewhere else and I totally forget about whatever it was I was doing. Forgetfulness is also a problem for me, but I do my best to cope.
