The 1990s and Pulp - The Band
That suggests that the entry is about the two subjects of the 1990s and Pulp, and their influence on each other. Such an entry might spend a lot of time talking about the influence of britpop on the zeitgeist and suchlike. In fact this entry is on Pulp in the 1990s, and should be titled as such. "The Band Pulp in the 1990s", perhaps.
But it's a good entry, nevertheless - glad to see this one in the guide

You wouldn't believe how much hassle the title caused. Believe me, it's a can of worms we don't want re-opened. But thanks for reading!

Great entry
I haven't listened to 'Different Class' in years. I not sure if I dare, it may unleash a few memories. It's one of a few albums linked indelibly with my late teens, like 'Definately Maybe' and 'Parklife'.
*is washed away with nostalgia*

Different Class is a great album. Bar Italia is one of Pulp's great lesser-known moments, tucked away there at the end of the album. And Underwear! What a tune. And obviously Common People, Disco 2000 and Misfits. But it's all good.
Yes, the mid '90s really had some fantastic albums, Parklife etc. And although Oasis sort of lost the plot a bit, their first album is a true classic, and their second, to an extent.

I can't find Different Class - I must have loaned it to someone
So I'm getting nostalgic to The Stone Roses and Alanis Morrisette instead. (An early unrequited love could sing like her, y'see. Alanis, not Iain Brown)
It would bring a tear tae a gless e'en, so it would.

Stone Roses. Their debut album must be in the Top Five albums ever. In fact, it is hailed in many quarters as THE best. And to be fair, Second Coming has its moments. I've been toying with a Guide entry on the first album, basically a track listing with some notes and background information. I might just get round to posting it soon - so dust off your baggy jeans!

Yes, I've read it, it's excellent isn't it. My Guide entry was well under way when that came out, I decided to shelve mine for a while because I didn't want to be too influenced by it. Great cover on that issue!
Key: Complain about this post
