A Conversation for Long-distance Romantic Relationships - A Survival Guide

Brilliant, a 1st class article

Post 1

Don't be fooled by the rocks that i got, I'm still Jenny; Jenny, from Da Block.

Reading this, and yes, being in a long-distance relationship myself (tho not forever i hasten to add..) I couldnt help but be struck at what a thorough and comprehensive article this was. Reading it I felt good again about my situation, and it did include the whole gamete of communication options.

The section on NetMeeting caught my attention because it reminded me of a couple of techie points to do with that;

In Windows XP NetMeeting seems to have been incorporated in the 'Windows Messenger' that comes with it. 'Windows Messenger' is a slightly different piece of software to the 'MSN Messenger' that is available for Windows 2000 and older versions of Windows.

On these older versions NetMeeting is indeed seperate I think, but apparantly MS plan to phase out NetMeeting altogether in its newer releases of XP. Basically Ive been in a situation where I, using 2000 + MSN Messenger & normal NetMeeting, have been unable to netmeet with my beloved who uses XP + Windows Messenger & its incorporated NetMeeting features.

If I'm making no sense whatsoever this article will hopefully be useful;

Cheers for an inspiring article,
